Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy outlines the usage limits for each ToneForge subscription tier and the consequences of abuse. We enforce these limits to ensure a reliable, high-quality experience for all users.

1. Usage Limits by Plan

1.1 Free Plan

Up to 3 mastering jobs per day (resets at midnight UTC).
Maximum file size: 50 MB.
Maximum audio duration: 10 minutes per file.
Processed files expire and are deleted 1 hour after completion.
Standard processing priority (queued behind paid plans).

1.2 Pro Plan

Up to 20 mastering jobs per day.
Maximum file size: 150 MB.
Maximum audio duration: 20 minutes per file.
Processed files available for 24 hours after completion.
Priority processing queue.

1.3 Studio Plan

Up to 50 mastering jobs per day.
Maximum file size: 200 MB.
Maximum audio duration: 20 minutes per file.
Processed files available for 72 hours after completion.
Highest processing priority.

2. What Counts as a Job

Each upload that triggers the analysis-and-mastering pipeline counts as one mastering job, regardless of the outcome (success or failure). Re-uploads of the same file count as separate jobs.

3. Counter Reset

Daily usage counters reset at 00:00 UTC each day. If you reach your daily limit, you will need to wait until the next reset or upgrade your plan.

4. Prohibited Behavior

The following activities are considered abuse of the Fair Use Policy:

Multi-accounting: Creating multiple free accounts to circumvent daily limits.
Automated mass uploads: Using scripts, bots, or automated tools to submit large volumes of files without authorization.
Resale or redistribution: Using a personal subscription to provide mastering services to third parties on a commercial basis.
Resource abuse: Intentionally uploading files designed to consume excessive server resources (e.g., artificially inflated file sizes, malformed audio).

5. Consequences of Abuse

If we detect behavior that violates this Fair Use Policy, we may take the following actions, at our sole discretion:

Warning: An email notification describing the violation and requesting corrective action.
Throttling: Temporary reduction of your daily processing limits.
Suspension: Temporary suspension of your account pending review.
Termination: Permanent account termination and forfeiture of any remaining subscription period. No refund will be issued for accounts terminated due to abuse.

6. Appeals

If you believe your account was restricted in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@toneforge.space within 14 days of the action. We will review your case and respond within 5 business days.

7. Changes

We may adjust usage limits and this policy at any time. Paid subscribers will receive at least 14 days' notice before limits are reduced for their current plan.
